Company History

Cutting Edge Global Equipment is managed by Jeremy Nelson. Jeremy has an extensive knowledge of the international mining and construction industry, having purchased his first excavator at the age or 20. Owning and operating a road building company, Jeremy expanded the business into rentals and sales, growing the business with some of the largest international customers in the world as clients over the last decade.

Since Cutting Edge Global Equipment was founded, it has developed a reputation for professional service, advice and support. This service covers all facets of equipment procurement to make the purchasing of equipment from anywhere in the world as easy as possible. Some of the major projects undertaken by Cutting Edge Global Equipment include the following:

  • Purchase and sale of 15 Caterpillar 793B/C Trucks from Fort McMurray Alberta, Canada, delivered for rebuilding in the United States. After rebuilding in the United States, the trucks were then transported for the client to Australia. This involved dismantling, and the overland transportation through Canada and the United States. Cutting Edge Global Equipment made the arrangements for the trucks to be rebuilt at a Cat dealer, and the trucks were then transported and assembled in Australia.
  • Purchase and Sale of 8 Caterpillar 789C trucks at a mine site in Chile and the transport to Australia. This involved moving the trucks over land in Chile fully assembled over some very challenging roads, and shipping the trucks to a customer in Australia.
  • Purchase of 4 Caterpillar 777F haul trucks in Panama and delivered to a client in Australia.
  • Purchase of 3 used Caterpillar D10T dozers in the United States. The machines were rebuilt for the customer at a Cat dealer, and then shipped to Australia.
  • Purchase of 3 Caterpillar 785C trucks in Spain and delivered to a customer in Australia. This involved the great assistance of the Canadian Government with the logistics of moving on the highways in Spain due to the lack of available road permit engineers in the Government of Spain from the European financial crisis. The Government of Canada was instrumental in assisting Cutting Edge Global Equipment with the project.
  • Purchase and sale of a new Terex SKS Rotary Blast hole drill in the United Arab Emirates, and delivered to a customer in Chile.
  • Purchase and Sale of 4 Caterpillar 777D trucks in Alaska, United States, and delivered to a customer in the Central United States. This involved moving the trucks before the northern port froze in for the winter.

The combined experience of all involved at Cutting Edge Global Equipment brings a wealth of knowledge to the industry. Clients can be comfortable in the knowledge that they are dealing with a family owned and operated company that has built a reputation for the provision of quality and reputable service in a demanding industry.
